Hotel Le petit Paris enjoys an ideal location if you want to stroll through the historic heart of Paris.

You can easily walk to:

  • Luxembourg Gardens
  • The Quartier Latin and the Panthéon
  • Saint Germain des Prés
  • Notre Dame Cathedral, Ile de la Cité and Ile Saint Louis

The Quartier Latin is on the left bank, in the 5th and 6th arrondissements of Paris with the Sorbonne as its historic heart. It extends from Saint Germain des Prés to the Luxembourg Gardens.
The quartier owes its name to the students of the Sorbonne who, from the time of the Renaissance, studied latin here. Today it is where you find the most prestigious universities and grandes ecoles in France. St Germain has, since time immemorial, been a meeting place for the artists and writers of the left bank. Many cafes, such as Le Flore and Les Deux Magots boast their own literary circles.
At the time of the Liberation, it was the trendy quarter popular with its jazz musicians and Jean-Paul sartre.
The Quartier Latin is an important historic area where you can visit famous attractions such as The Pantheon, The Sorbonne, The Luxembourg Palace and its gardens, Saint Sulpice Church, the Theatre de l’Odeon... you can also take the opportunity to make the most of Paris’s cultural life with its plentiful art galleries, specialised bookshops, world-renowned theatres and cafes.
